You must know the proverb that says "A picture is worth a thousand words". It is from that concept that "A word is worth a thousand pictures" is born (the short way: Word-worth-1000-pics)

*Word-worth-1000-pics is NOT a group or a club, so don't have any members. It is a community project meant for featuring deviant artists weekly, from a word.


HOW ?

1° A word is chosen for the week (only on D-day)
2° Searches/browsing from this word is done all week long
3° I select many deviations I think should be featured for some
reasons*, coming from the key-search's results.

That simple... and it all start over again each week, on fridays (sometimes saturdays) !

Featured deviants will get a notice on the devious comment of
their deviation. The icon of "ww1000pics" will be added so can
easily see they have been feature and go checking here.

The featured deviations will be added to the favorites
immediately, so deviants can browse through previous features.
None will be missed that way.

Each journal of features is sent as News on fridays (when complete)

* The selections are made considering one (or +) of many points ; technique, harmony of colors & shapes, unicity, creativity, concept, quality, mood/atmosphere, interesting subject, angle & perspective etc.

  HOW MANY ?

There is NO limit.
Can be more or less features from one week to another, depending of what has been found from a word and as time permits.


WHEN ?

The period is from friday to thursday (or friday, depending of your location)
Features can be added anytime within that period. So all week long.


WHAT ?

All mediums, as long as there is a picture related to the word.
So that means; photography, traditional art, digital art & photomanipulation, stock, wallpaper,etc.


WHY ?

Because I never know what and who will be found from a specific word. So it's impartial.

Because searching from words might help to find older deviations as the ones left unknown and less popular artists. Althought the number of favorites given to a deviation will NOT determine if it will be added or not on Wordworth1000pics. The aim of the features is to make deviants discover art they might not have seen and appreciate it.

Because it will help to find deviations from any medium of art.
Finally because featuring our wonderful artists is never too much : )


MORE ABOUT IT and TIPS

The more keywords there are for a deviation, the more chance there is to be found (here and from anybody else search)
Same thing with adding a description/comment.
Don't forget that the search can lead me to a certain place because 'the' word was in the devious comments too !

Untitled or numbered deviations will NOT be found from word search

An important word verb/action in the title could benefit to be added
as the noun form in the keyword or any derived word. Colors and emotions are a good add to keywords too. The more you comment in your description, the more you can be found from so many different owrds

The number of results vary for each words. There can be over 2 Million results to browse on ! (for example, "love" has 2,062,855 results). So let's say there is a part of luck being found and feature too!

I will give a word I shall make a search from, once a month or so.
This word given to you can be added anytime ! so stay tuned
You will never know when the search will be done, but it will not
be the first week I've given you the word. That way, it will give you some time to create or shoot from this word if it inspires you, or get more visibility from a work already in your gallery, by adding the approriate keywords, description/comment and title.
That way, you get more chance to be found and hopefully...
